My name is Erin Armstrong
& I'm fighting for Oakland!
As Sr. Policy Advisor to the Board of Supervisors, I have tackled the most complex challenges facing Oakland today, including affordable housing, illegal dumping, police oversight, mental health and so much more.
I've led a cross-sector partnership to identify scalable solutions to illegal dumping that can be replicated throughout the city.
As the Chair of the BART Police Department Citizen Review Board, I led the region in developing effective, community-led policing.
My initiatives have planted hundreds of trees, improved street lighting, removed 500+ tons of illegal dumping, and revitalized city parks.
I Chaired the Ad Hoc Committee on UASI, creating policy for over $40 million in federal disaster management funding.
Over decades of nonprofit leadership, I organized communities to address systemic issues like gender-based violence and HIV/AIDS.
I hold a Joint Masters in Business Administration and Public Policy (MBA/MPP) from Mills College!
